Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I have to give credit where credit is due. Monicals is amazing! Their pizza is good - not great (However I greatly prefer it over Pizza King) - but what is really amazing about Monical's is their customer service. On one of our last nights in Indiana we went out for a family meal at Monical's (the bfs favorite pizza place). We were guests, so we didn't plan the adventure, but we were the first ones to arrive. All we could really tell them is "uhm...we're going to have a large party" well that large party turned out to be about 25 people, and poor little Emily had to take care of us all. Emily was SUPER AWESOME as far as servers go. People were splitting checks left and right and orders were bouncing out from around all over our little section in the corner (as well as a bunch of kids running around enjoying a night out). Emily kept her cool and composure and was extremely nice and plesant the entire time. She had no problem splitting checks, did so correctly, and given the high volume of people she was dealing with drinks were always refiled within an appropraite time. Now onto the pizza, like I said Monical's isn't my favorite pizza place - but there's nothing wrong with them. I love their pepperoni pizza covered in their french sauce. Add on a family pack of breadsticks and some nacho cheese (for super large parties; that breadstick order is huge) and you are good to go! Until next time Monical's!

A three-star review that should be a 4, but cannot. I liked Monical's Pizza, and their thin crust was especially delicious. However, they have this strange gimmick where they don't use pizza boxes, but instead put your pizza on a cardboard tray and slide that into a large paper bag... I wasn't a fan. They do this as part of an eco-friendly stunt, but I don't buy it. If I was that worried about the environment I would probably just make my own pizza thus eliminating the waste, the CO2 emissions of driving my car or getting it delivered. Also, just a note, they do this thing were they put about three of those little plastic stands on your pizza to keep the bag off the hot cheese. But, if you're trying to save the environment, which is good, is it a smart idea to use a handful of plastic, not biodegradable stands in lieu of just a pizza box?

We love Monical's pizza! It's the kids favorite pizza place in this entire world (according to the kids). Wish you guys would open one in Blacksburg, VA

Pros: Yummy sandwiches, delivery and carry out available, best breadsticks! Cons: Salad seems bagged Order at the window, have a seat and someone will bring you your order. You have to flip through the menu at the window, so I don't know why they don't just come to your table and take your order at your table like most places. I can get over that pretty easily though, it's no biggie. I love their sandwiches, and their ham and cheese comes highly recommended! They have thin crust and pan pizza available, and I always prefer a thicker crust so I go for pan. My favorite things about Moncial's? Their breadsticks! They are like a cross between traditional breadsticks and soft pretzels. They are soft, warm and topped with a light coating of salt much like soft pretzels. Yum yum yum. All in all, a great place to grab lunch in WL!

My girlfriend and I went to Monical's for the first time tonight. We both liked the atmosphere, and were quickly seated and brought our drink order. After the waiter brought our salad, things rapidly went downhill, however. 50 minutes later, we didn't have our pizza, our waiter had not come by since he took the salad away 45 minutes ago, and the couple who arrived after us had gotten their order, eaten it, and were leaving. When our pizza was brought by a waitress (not our original waiter), it had pan crust, instead of thin crust like we had ordered. The waitress didn't even bother to apologize for the wait. Too hungry to wait longer, we ate it anyway. As we were finishing, our original waiter came by to explain that "things got crazy in back", despite the fact everyone else got their pizzas while we waited. He was then absent for the next 20 minuted while we waited for our check. When he finally appeared, we had been charged for the pan crust pizza, an extra $4. After explaining the mistake to him, he did change the order and even took 50% off, but by then it was too little, too late. While the food was very good, earning the 2 stars here, the service was abysmal. We are both tolerant people and would have forgiven the wait if our waiter had come around even once to apologize and check on us. We would love to go back to Monical's for the food, but we will not be doing so at this location.

I've had this pizza on one occasion, and I was pleasantly surprised at its tastiness. The crust is very thin, but nicely crispy. The sauce has a nice flavor to it. Note that these are very thin pizzas, and the toppings are not piled high. You might need to order more than usual because the thinness means it is not as filling as others. I would definitely order from here again when in town.

I never knew about this place while I was at Purdue since it's hidden in a little strip mall that's a little out of the way. But when I came back for a visit, I came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. My previous favorite place in town for pizza was Schlotzky's, but they unfortunately have closed. This isn't quite the same, but it's still pretty good. They've got a good deal during lunchtime on personal size pizzas, and my BBQ chicken pizza had a thin, crispy crust and nicely flavored sauce. If I lived in town, I'd definitely be back more often!

They have great pizza. If you like a lot of toppings the individual pizzas are the best deal, $5 for a personal specialty pizza. Or if you order online at hungryboiler.com you can find some decent specials.
